Bio
Eleanor Kerr lives and works in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and midcoast Maine. Her fine art prints are made with large format film cameras and traditional darkroom printing. She values the contemplative stance and intimate connection with the work fostered by these hands-on processes.
Kerr completed the Professional Certificate Program at Maine Media Workshops and apprenticed with Paul Caponigro for several years thereafter. Recently featured on Lenscratch, her awarding winning photographs are regularly featured in solo exhibitions and juried shows throughout the United States. She is represented by galleries in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Carmel, CA. Her work is held in numerous private and public collections, including the Louisiana State University Museum of Art and the U.S. Department of State at the US Embassy, Malaysia.
